The Cruel Reality

I used to love fairytales
Then I discovered reality
In fairytales the good people always win
There's always a "happy ending"
Someone is always willing to help the princess
There is a "true loves kiss"
The sad fact is
That rarely happens in reality
There is no pretty little bow to wrap around it and call it life
Most of the time, the good people choose not to shine
There's no "Once upon a time....they all lived happily ever after"
In real life, the world we live in
There are dying people
There's the homeless, the hungry, the forgotten
People bully each other for no reason at all
And sadly, the bully usually wins
Fairytales are exacly what they're named
Fairytales, dreams, the unreal
The only similarity between reality and fairytales
Is that eventually
It all ends
